IMPROVING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF FAMILY BUSINESSES

Financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), EduNova successfully delivered training and technical assistance services to three of the four main project components. The Project's main objective was to increase the competitiveness and sustainability of family-controlled micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) of Jamaica. The specific objective was to incorporate corporate governance and other sound managerial practices in selected MSMEs in Jamaica.

 

SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

EduNova entered into a contract with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) to provide educational services to six government schools. 35 Leadership Mentors, Curriculum Advisors, Teaching Mentors, Language Teachers and Translators were part of the on-site team. EduNova assisted the schools in implementing a new English-based curriculum and improving overall educational standards.

 
 
BASELINE SURVEY OF TEACHER PERFORMANCE, PARENT AND STUDENT ATTITUDES AND ACHIEVEMENT

EduNova has been awarded this Inter-American Development Bank project to deliver nationwide surveys of the K-12 school system to establish a first set of data for future reform initiatives. The EduNova team is tasked with consulting with stakeholders to develop a set of teacher performance criteria, and will train Ministry staff and officials on the use of survey tools and results analysis to measure improvements of teacher performance over time, student achievement, and parent and student attitudes.

 
 
SITE ASSESSMENT OF OIL & GAS TECHNICAL TRAINING CENTRE

In 2011, EduNova secured a contract in the UAE to provide an assessment of oil and gas technical training facilities and recommend improvements. A partnership of highly experienced EduNova member organizations successfully conducted the assessment and delivered a report that examined technical training facilities, safety culture, equipment, programs, curriculums, technologies, and operational structure of the training centre.

 
 
DEVELOPING, REVISING, AND IMPLEMENTING PRIMARY CURRICULUM

Client: Ministry of Education, Government of Trinidad and Tobago

Financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), EduNova was awarded this one-year contract to assist the Government of Trinidad and Tobago in achieving the objectives of a multi-year Education reform strategy. The project provides training, supervision and resources to curriculum writers, teachers and administrators of the Ministry of Education to produce new curriculums in seven subject areas to meet the requirements of a national primary-level curriculum. The project also examines in-service and pre-service teacher training to recommend improvements that ensures that teachers are able to fully utilize the new curriculums and teaching resources using the latest pedagogical theories and in-class training.

 

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT & MULTI-GRADE / MULTI-AGE TEACHING

Financed by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), EduNova was awarded a contract to support the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica with the enhancement of the KS 3 curriculum, which in turn will modernize early secondary teaching methodologies and provide increased integration of TVET at Forms 1-3. A second contract was also awarded to EduNova to assist the Ministry in developing a multi-grade teaching module with the goal of enhancing primary learning and teaching. In both consultancies, EduNova provided professional development in creating and implementing curriculums, teaching resources and strategies to teachers, curriculum writers and related staff of the Ministry of Education.
